Echoes of the Past: The Howl
Can you hear the lone wolf howl,
For a love long lost;
Can you see the rooftop owl
Sitting in the frost?
Something stirs within,
First its cool, then searing hot,
A burning anger in his skin
That dark, inner rot.
He howls again, and asks,
''Tell me, Moon, and tell me true.
Did I not remove my masks,
When I said that I loved you?''
''Some you did, but not all, "
"I had to watch you fall,
you ruined us, for your pride;
And now you are without a guide
In the darkness you reside.
Trust me wolf, for I have tried,
When I loved you, I only cried."
