Tree of life
Under the starry skies,
Stood a row of trees in the jungle,
A world away from the hustle,
A festival of fireflies.
Lights flashed and flickered in a rhythm,
The trees decorated with lights
Of the constellations of the sky.
Like a Christmas tree.
They danced one tree to another,
In search of their significant other,
Waiting to hold hands,
And dance off to make a bond,
There was a battle to win hearts,
The time was running out,
Before the thunder God struck,
And separated them to nothingness.
Amidst all this chaos,
Was an essence of grit
And a set purpose,
Which was served.
The monsoons arrived,
As they bid goodbye
To their one and only.
The festival of lights saw its closure,
Until next time...
