MY FORBIDDEN CHILD.
(Writing is my beloved baby.
But she's termed as a waste of my time,
by some of the people around me).
So here's a letter to her, from her mother.
Why am I subtly told to hide?
for finding you in the dark of the night.
Why do they treat you like my Forbidden Child?
born out of love, but left in the wild.
I'd be condemned, when I nurture you,
of the ink spilling from my screaming mind.
And when I bring you out in their view,
they'd pounce on me, as if you're a crime of mine.
You ain't the right fit for my time,
they say this, as if they know it all.
But you fixed my broken pieces so fine,
that,in the first place, they'd never seen it fall.
How would they ever know,
what you mean to my darkest pains,
How dare they convince me to let you go,
when only you breathed life in me, again.
So don't you be afraid of their signs,
for they ain't so wise, but full of disguise.
Don't you run away from this embrace of mine,
'cause you're my golden light,
and you won't anymore feel like
my forbidden child.
