Ready to write
I was at a party,
with 5 friends and dinner,
When she decides to text,
our friendship is done, it's over,
I remember having drinks and the glasses touched with a cheer,
Read her message and something rolled out, maybe a tear!
For a month we were silent,
Without a text or a chatter,
A few people told me, whatever happened was for the better,
But what better could come out from a fight so long,
I believed our friendship to have a stronger bond.
One day I sent her a text very random,
Didn't know it could convert into a silly little tantrum.
Angry at each other, we said we were happy, knowing they were lies.
That text I thought would be our last goodbye.
Who could think what life would have in store for us,
On a random rainy day I got a text of hers,
Said she wanted to meet me ,it was her last day in the city,
Though I too missed her gave the meeting the name of pity,
I was happy to know that we couldn't give up on our friendship and were ready to fight,
That day with all the emotions I realised I was ready to write.
With our friendship back on track with some ugly rough patches,
I hope it heals with time and emerges as the strongest.
