Paper: A Love Story
I always thought that I was odd,
The white pea in a green pod;
Pointed, long and filled with potential,
But powerless without you, that's essential.
Cause then when you came along,
A pure white canvas so strong;
How could I not help but glide,
Right upon your pearly hide.
I slid & stroked, pointed & grated
I stopped & slashed then quietly waited,
Oh dear, how I felt so fine,
When across you I drew a line.
I had waited confined for so long,
Waited for you to come along
And become the reason for my freedom
Saving me from this endless boredom.
Because when you & I are one,
We can create everything under the sun;
And as the writer brings me to you,
We can put life in the dead too.
Yours and my love is eternal,
Their clicks and keys so infernal;
They haven't given power to men,
By the touch of the Paper and Pen.
