You dug my heart,
Sowed the seeds of friendship,
Nurtured it with you love,
Protected it from evil bugs with your care,
Saw my tree of love for you grow,
As my heart felt the roots hold it strongly,
You'd enjoy the shadows of the tree when it was hot outside,
Sleep peacefully under the tree when you wanted to,
You'd wait for the fruits grow so that you could relish them,
But when you forgot to nurture it,
It started drying up,
The leaves started falling apart,
The evil bugs started eating me up,
My leaves were no more,
My fruits no more existed,
And you left me thinking I was useless.
But though the tree is cut down,
I know it'll live in the pieces of art made from it.
The marks that our bonding was strong,
Will always stay in my heart.
