The House With a Secret
The house in front of I was always abandoned. My parents at one point before I was born, wanted to move into it, but the person who was selling them the house told them, a murderer used to live in it. So now I live across from it. Every night at 2 or 3 am I would hear screaming, or someone crying, but I assumed it was the neighbors since they stay up all night. Every now and then the house would make noise, scaring me. My friends convinced me to go in it and explore. I was getting ready to do so, I saw my dog acting strangely, he kept hiding all day. I don't know what she is hiding from, even our two cats. My friends are waiting for me at the front of the lawn. I walk over to them, unaware of what would happen next.
As we enter the house, the smell of rotting wood, fresh paint, and dust greet us at the entrance of the old abandoned house. Sam closes the door and said, "I hope nothing happens to us." I tell her, "yeah me too." I look at Dawn with a worried look. He leads the way into the living room, we uncover the furniture and other things. I sneeze due to the dust, then I stop uncovering things because I would have kept sneezing, making it known to the neighbors that someone was in the house. We look in the bedrooms, kitchen, and the backyard. Everything just seems old and broken down, nothing strange. After a few more minutes of exploring we came to a conclusion that there was nothing to be afraid of.
A few minutes more pass by and Dawn finds a trapdoor in the living room floor, we look at each other and, I say," Let's see where it leads to." Sam opens the trapdoor, and to our surprise, there was a staircase leading down. Dawn goes down first then me, then Sam. We turn on our flashlights, it seems like the person made a basement. Seems ordinary, I find a door and I open it a pool that's full, but it's a dark color and had a very odd smell of rotting flesh and blood. I freak out and tell my friends, we run out of the house and call the police. Apparently, 35 bodies were found in the pool slowly rotting under the house. The house is being demolished today, so I won't have to see an awful sight again.
