Row the Boat
Pain says, "I'll keep quiet,
Like his footprints on your mind."
The sea whispers "I've found the shore,
It's time for me to be no more"
Love says, "My words are true,
I've been in an eternal wait for you."
"Don't hold me back," says the tear, my friend
"Let me be your swan-like end"
"Embrace me, poor soul" says the mist,
And I drown myself in its early morning tryst.
The demon says, "Break–
I'll pick up your pieces and jerk you awake."
"I give in," I say, "Row my boat until I'm ashore
Find my sunshine in my mid-night lore."
