'Eleven is One Less a Dozen' ••••• In honor, remembrance & respects to the first Moon landing accomplished by Man (men) & many women on the date of July 20th, 1969. (Apollo 11) 50th anniversary, this Saturday.
However; consider what was the underlying wish of this accomplishment & the explorations that follow us. All. (?)
What is the calendar telling us? What is each day? A continuation, a new beginning, a new place. Outer space? What is the responsibility of the human race? •••••
No matter what I still throw a penny in a wishing well and wait for hope to echo my foretell, just like I blush every morning at the cracked mirror gazing at it with love like a petal awaiting the morning dew and we both longing for it to reflect, "You my mystique Rosette are a flawless beauty with scars mysteriously imperfect.." But alas both seem to be empty, the mirror and the well, empty of feelings and emotions which no more sell.
I wish that I could travel back to long ago, back to when fathers were honored, mothers were treasured, Gods were truly worshiped, elders were respected, and children were taught. Taught to grow up with honor and pride. We don't see this today because no one has respect for each other's lives anymore. We take death for granted, so we take lives for granted too. I find the present day to be a sad mockery of what it could have and should have been, and no one is trying to change it. It angers me when our elders are made fun of, It pisses me off when animals are abused, It infuriates me when women are taken advantage of, And It saddens me when children hold no respect for the parents that raised them. These may seem like world wide problems, but they affect me on a day to day basis. These are things I take personally, and while some may not affect me now, they will later.
To the people reading this, you might not be a mother or father, and you may never be. But something we all become eventually is old. Do you want some bratty teen calling you an old hag or knocking you out of your wheel chair when your disabled and helpless to defend yourself? I definitely don't.
