There was an ocean surging in my heart
Lending me an alienated existence miles away from signs of life
The life that made you walk out and smile at the sun
The one that found melody in the falling rain
The kind that gave you delight each morning when you wake up.
This ocean took me deep under and submerged me to the core
I lay lifeless, floating sometimes on the brim
On the brim of living and the wind
My body is full of tears I cannot cry
My mind full of thoughts that cannot be untangled
The light of the morn is just the darkness of night disguised
Without a trace of a star or the lamp of the moon to set it alight.
