I was just sitting here and drying my hair, thinking about random things when I suddenly thought about reincarnation. Whoever was the one who introduced the concept, he/she was a genius. Such a beautiful way of trying to bring harmony to the world. We all have someone we love who died. Reincarnation says that they will be back, but we don't know in which form. They could be back as a human, a lion, a snake or even as an ant. So if we're hurting something or someone, we might as well pause and think that this might be that person we lost.. and end up not hurting it instead. If everyone believed in the concept of reincarnation, the world wouldn't have so much violence in it. We would love each other and live in peace. Such a beautiful thought..Reincarnation. It might be the best of the superstitions.
Some superstitions are actually good. The concept of ghosts have put many children to sleep and forced them to eat. The thought that we aren't alone in this world, and that there are beings that are more powerful than us, and we cannot even see them. This could help people change their way of living if it's bad. I don't think now any bad man would mend his ways scared of ghosts, because it's ruled off as a superstition.
Another beautiful thought is the one that after we die, we become a star. Of course, science ruined that for us, but it's still good to believe. The thought that my grandfather is watching over me as a star is super awesome. And the belief that he would kick anyone's ass if they try to mess with me.. it's bewitchingly beautiful.Though majority of the superstitions are useless, there are some of them like these which are gems.
