Sigh's the Limit
People judging people, not by their looks
--that's already cliché.
We already knew how to put up a facade.
A single word, an action,
a decision that seemed to be in bad faith.
Soon all the right things you've done are gone,
with barely anything said.
How can you try to teach anyone to see
--what benefit of the doubt truly means?
Seeing past smiles and sorrows and seeing
what the good in people could possibly bring.
Lest it's a random thought floating in the breeze
Then each moment I dare not miss.
The world we're living in is far from perfect
It's a gift if you've found what makes life worth it.
