All her life she's been prey to the crippled society,
Shattered by it's callous scrutiny,
Injured by it's lame judgements,
Subdued by it's prying eyes,
And broken by it's stereotypes.
Today she has decided to stop enduring all these tortures,
To stop being punished for doing what's right,
To get on her feet and follow the light.
Irrespective of what the society thinks,
She'll raise her voice and make her opinions be heard.
She'll walk on rocks and thorns,
She'll fall numerous times, but will get back up again,
She'll pave way for others to follow,
A way drenched in her blood...
She hopes that one day,
Her efforts will bear fruits.
She dreams of a tomorrow,
When every lass will feel safe in this world.
When every mother will proudly look
in her li'l daughter's eyes
reflecting hues of the horizon,
And tell her that she can pursue all her dreams
And touch the sky,
FOR THIS WORLD BELONGS TO HER,
AND SHE BELONGS HERE.
