    OF THE SKY AND THE SEA.

    A dark, vast ocean
    Lies in front of me.
    The moon shines brilliantly;
    I don't question it; I can't.
    But the light's not enough
    For me to see myself.
    So I look at the ocean-
    Dark as the night sky,
    So dark that it merges with the sky.
    Both conspire againt me
    While the moon fights for me.
    The clouds join the sky and the sea
    In this conspiracy.
    They engulf my only light-
    They devour my only moon.
    I am left in the dark
    To drown in the black
    Of the sky
    And the sea.
