Oh, that dream of heaven I still remember, That surreal intoxicating note, Of your flute. no word can explain the feeling, Like flowers of love blooming, And blending in my heart, And delicate petals showering Blessings everywhere. That night of pious rhyme, Heavenly and devine love. I can't dare to open my eyes, Want to be in charme of This beautiful world.
Here's my word of the day piece, as hosted by Mirakee. Today's word is 'voices.' Also, as I started, continued, and ended 2018 with a ton of reposting, I've decided to enjoy the first week of 2019 simply as a writer; thus I'll be doing very little (if any) reposting this week. Thank you for understanding. Blessings, Carolyn
VOICES CARRY by Carolyn Glackin From starlit realms Where angels sleep I hear him calling, soft and sweet So many voices heard before Yet his beguiles me, all the more My name upon his lips, a dream! Calms me, lulls me, so serene... He stirs my soul in ways unknown I'm truly his, no more my own Lost in thought, I walk on air The world around me, hardly there His voice resounding in my heart We've been each other's, from the start With bluest eyes and auburn hair My dashing man, so debonair! I, for him; and he, for me Bewitched by this duality And if it be a spell I'm under Oh let it not be torn asunder! Let me stay spelled Lo! 'Tis my choice! That I may always hear his voice. Title credit: "Voices Carry" is a favorite 1980's tune of mine by the band 'Til Tuesday. I'd definitely recommend giving it a listen if you've never heard it, seeing as a great many of you weren't even born yet. Anyway, that's where I got the idea for the title from.
