Questionku is a type of short form poem (similar to Haiku) that creates a question. The style of writing was created by poet Richard Lamoureux.
The poem is written on only three lines. First line: 4 syllables Second line: 5 syllables Third line: 6 syllables
The purpose of most questionku poems is to raise a question about life or humanity that the reader will think about. Usually, the first two lines set up the background and the third line pops the question.
Echoing throughout the galaxies Of love, chaos and wretched beings Subjugated to meet but We were two disparate souls Staring at the endless oceans Of mediocre doldrums. The cold untamed water, sliding under our feet And our energies realising divergent music, Disappointing the river and The dark skies anew. Thousands of cosmic energies Collapsed for us to Align our stardusts But a single coloured cloud Stood out and Paved different paths for us.
Those cosmic energies which Sagged for our love Bowed down their head In rue, Neither were there any rainbows Nor stardusts Competent enough To unite Dismal beings with A tragic sphere.
