Ship seems, I own Made up of straw Buoyant as a child's laughter Smoothly sailed Romancing with waves.
A bird perched on the mast Enraged, tearing the sail A sudden quiver, What if, I sepulchred here Life jackets, I always detested But now find their worried faces Amidst laughter of waves.
Surrendered to fate I slipped in a trance Murmuring those bickerings Like an earnest prayer A hungry lion hung in the sky Ready to devour Before retiring for the day Which, I used to play with, Hide and seek in the moulded mountains.
Out of reverie, I found a shark with teasing teeth Chewing a straw of my ship Which started to sink Ears deaf still hear from afar Those death-knells The shore, the sand Slipping away Cursed my desires turned fears With a final scream Closing my eyes for the last time Oh, what a deadly Nightmare!!!
I'm captivated I can't move Reveries again Watching clouds roll in Hearing the first drops of rain Against the tin roof I close my eyes Extend my face towards the sky And I smiled Resting my tongue upon my bottom lip Forever chapped This little ritual of mine Levin light flogging back Dropping shapes through my eyes
I need the taste of this
I'm afflicted And bewildered By such simple things in life Those sweet simple things are Hidey places, I see Call it hiatus But I'll always be a flying bird
I lay down, The grass itching my back But for all my thoughts I ignore that thoughts of We're so separate And how I wish to reconnect And 'all we need is an enlivening Of the collective consciousness' And the drops come heavier now Assailing down upon the earth And disappearing the dirt, the dust And the wind carrying message A whispering of love Like a hand ruffling my hair With sweet illusion
And I could melt right into this
Let me live here Between the fallen pinecone Let me be an earthy mushroom With shiny gold top Under a log with all it's rot Let this be my home Among the fae Let my fantasies pay my rent Let me keep my hand clenched With a fist full of magic Let me roll it around in my palm Let me hold what is eternity Tightly gripped Between fingers and thumb Let me place it on the tip of my tongue
