    It's a fine line

    Its a fine line this
    In which we write, speak
    These little discourses
    That surrounds, fills
    Activates and vibrates
    Deep within these words.
    We lay foundations
    The jive we have
    The lowdown,
    upskirted discourse
    The crack laid upon
    And ecthed from
    Both our world and lives.
    Parables, parodies
    Melodies and the hum
    Little platforms
    On which we stand
    Boogie and verbatim
    This jig that fills
    Thrills and instills
    All we elaborate
    Wish to say, stress
    Impress and express
    What within seeks
    To echo in a word
    Into the world
    Each little fine line.

    It pours

It is one of those Sundays
    When a southern storm
    Crosses the sky and pours
    Down the heavy weight
    Of the heavens.
    I hear the falling drops
    That echo out the tears
    That fall upon the faces
Of those lost within a moment
    Tormented, crying deep
    Roaring out like thunder
    That breaks the silence
    And rumbles deep the unknown.
    Yet the rain...these tears
    Cleans deep the wounds
    Helps subside the fears
    That gather around a soul.
And storms here in the south
Pass quickly by, leaving a sigh
Upon the breath of a day.

    That a photo

That a photo can bring back so much
That the image of a little boy hinged
    Upon every word he said
That I was so drawn into being
    Everything he was
And I guess in my memories
    Still is.

    But here floods you, dad.
Little memories that sweep under me
Holds me again in your strong arms
    Tells me you love me
    I was ten,
    when your plane crashed
And I remember the next day
    Walking to school,
    some friends asked
    What happened
    At that very moment
    my life was torn apart
    The reality flooded in
    That no longer
    would I look into
    Those warm hazel eyes
I fell to the ground crying
    Weeping my soul out
I can still hear my voice to god
    Please God please.
My life changed forever that day
My youth faded like a shadow in light
I tried to be a stone
But the flood waters of reality
    Swept me away
    And lost to everything
    I rebelled against everything
    I kept everything, everyone
    An arms distance.
    Fought to feel
And I died to the sweet whisper of your name

    The tick tock

It the tick of the tock
That movement of hand upon clock
    The awkward knock
Opens a door , turns the lock
    Swipes our moments
To all that mortals try to block.

    Time this bearer of gifts
    That births anew each day
    Opens up the weary way
    Holds all upon the sway
    Of fates timely way.
    ..................

    No matter what
    By chance we do
    Life floods upon us
    Grasping each moment
    Drowning each second
    We forget this space
    The period of now
    That here we exist
    Instead were clambering
    For a tomorrow that may
    never come
Holding onto a past that's long
    Since dead
    We fade to the moment
    This now

    ...........

All because of the tick and tock
Of a damned stupid thing called a clock
That in all truth we need to block
For all it does is outward mock
    All gathered like a flock
Awaiting it's every tick and tock.

    Opened up

    The woods open up
    Like a celestial garden
    Heavy in the scented pine
It was here the naked souls
    Of them ran holding hands
Into the canopy of thick leaves
    Where underfoot twigs cracked
    And laughter filled the forest
    Where feet like hearts pounding
    Excited to the day
He looked at her, in her
    Dark liquid pools
    Where life danced abundant
Held the warmth of the day
And her hair like a raven in flight
    Danced around as she ran
We stoled the path as deeper we traveled
    Till there,
    set back against trees regal,
    tall like soldiers
Was a tiny cabling, red cedar and a garden of flowers.
When the gentle rush of waters gathered upon the ears
She stared at him astonished, in disbelief
    At the jewel of heaven
    Awaiting them.
    Dusk gathered it's sunset flair
And painted sky's vibrant in reds, oranges
Let's lay under the stars tonight she begged
    Pouting her lower lip
If only she knew I wanted the same
But how could I not enjoy her antics, that held me laughing deep
    To this beauty of her.
    It's here in the moments
    Where magic dances across
Holds souls upon a mystical trance
That only love in it's purist form
    Could truly understand and know
    They laughed, laying back against
    Each other, starring up
    Where the heavens were ablaze
    And stars sparkled before them
Like they were the only two people
    To ever gaze
    the foundations of creation
And fireflies abundant to the air
Danced upon the rush of the cool breeze
    They talked, whispered giggled
    Seeing shapes in the stars
Till soon, sleep drew them close
Like a kiss, and nature sang soft
    It's sonnet of being.

    She dies

    Its a long road
    That balances
    And bridges
    That great devide.
    Long worn nights
    That dance within
    Images shes gathered
    Cherished that abode
    That is of life retained
    Named
    for the love
    That dream of him
    That gathers as the dust
    Around the fine edges
Of all that is her mind.
    She whispers
    That name in sleep
    Where her life resides
    Those dreams
    Those visions
    Crafted deep
And it is here she died.
Not the death short of breath
Nor the lingering toment of pain
    But the silent death
    That hovers .
    Surrounds
    The walking dreams
    Of yesterday.

    Alone

    I wonder
    Ponder
    If I wrote
    Smote
    Upon paper white
    The infectious write
    Of loves sweet quill
    Would they into you fill
Hold you to the hearts beat
    Place in form vibrant neat
    To the souls sweet bliss
    Loves wanting kiss
Or would it simply pass you bye
For the fears you hold, yet deny
    That somewhere within your soul
Rages a want you long to know
    Would you simply walk away
Loosing forever this chance, this day
When love begged deep your form
But you chose instead the raging storm
    That leaves you broken, alone.

    Imagination

    We talked imagination
    Played the ration
    Of thoughts , images
    That gathered, drew
    The wooded hue
    Where moist to ground
    The mornings dew
    Washed fresh the bright eyes
    Dawn's vibrant sky's
    To whisper upon tender ears
    Sweeping away the tears
    To these unending years.

    Learned life

    It's not easy to bear
    These tides of life
    That sweeps the frontiers
    Of our dreams
    But we do
    And we walk
    Despite the hardships
    The desolate woes
    For in it we know
    There is no other course
    No other action available
    But to face the winds
    Step by step
    Till we attain that point
    Where things open up
And they do, yes they do
    Because you didn't give up
    You fought the path
    You learned life.

    Promise

    Everything
    Yes everything
    Sweeps the plane
    Of being, seeing
    What within is
    More than bliss
    But a constant
    Reminder
    A binder
    Of one's life , being
    Believing
    In that whole that
    Confides
    Resides
    Upon the sweet
    Treat
    Of love
    Are you there
    To share
    Fragrant to time
    The sublime
    The circumstance
    Of passions romance
    Upon the etch of years
To gather in fields of tears
    Love sweet promise.
