हाथों की लकीरों से पूछा हमने
सब कुछ है अगर तेरे हाथ में
क्यों बिखरी है यूं तू मेरे हाथ में
मंद मुस्काती बोली लकीरे मुझसे
मैं तो बनी थी हाथों को लचीला बनाने
कब भाग्य की उपमा मिल गई कौन जाने
मेरा लक्ष्य तो उंगलियों को मुट्ठी बनाना था
जिसमें इरादों को भर दुनिया को जीत जाना था
किस्मत का पोशाक ओढना तो एक बहाना था
अपनी अक्षमताओं की गठरी का बोझा
लकीरों की बनावट के माथे डालकर
मकसद इंसान का शायद खुद को बहलाना था

उठ जा मां

तुझे क्या ख़बर मैं तो झूम रहा हूं
मस्ती में मां का आंचल खोल रहा हूं
दौड़ दौड़ कर इधर से उधर
पांव फैलाए घूम रहा हूं
मां का चेहरा देख खेल रहा हूं
तुझे क्या खबर मैं तो झूम रहा हूं
उसे क्या खबर मौत और जिंदगी का
उसे क्या पता तलब अभी मंज़िल का
उसे क्या ज्ञान बेरहम दुनियां का
भागा फिर रहा है स्टेशन पर
मृत पड़ी अपनी मां की ओर
मुस्कुराता हुआ चादर हटा मां का चेहरा देखता
शायद मन में कहता उठ जा मां
तुझे क्या खबर मैं तो झूम रहा हूं

My wings got some external support.
Thought i could gain my energy back,
But then, whenever i tried to swim,
You pulled me deep into the love,
Deep inside, where i can't see the world out.
I suffocated for the breath,
You gave, but that was temporary,
I know am going deep,
But then with you by my side,
Disability felt like strength.
I didn't know that you were the one,
Stopping me to swim,
And leave me at the middle of no where,
Where i can't seek a support
Or a hope to survive back.
I don't blame you,
because it was me,
who actually forgot to swim,
And drowned into your love,
knowing i can never get back.
