    Every night,
she would take off her mask
and lay in a flower bed.
Wondering what life would be like,
if she could show her true face.
    The flowers would whisper
    beautiful stories
    that would make her dream.
    Putting comfort in her mind,
    her heart at ease.
And so, the moon and flowers
    would watch her sleep.
    Hoping one day,
    when she wakes up,
    she leaves the mask behind,
and lives the way that is meant to be.

    A glass of whiskey
    and a cigarette.
    Emotionless,
    with no regret.
    Men and women
    lay in your bed,
    Waiting impatiently,
    their legs spread.
    Lace, bondage, and whips,
    Pushing through the limits,
making it too late to quit.
An empty life, for an empty man,
    Wishing you could’ve ran
    before it began.
    And through games and lies,
Lust fills those sad green eyes.
    Living or dying in between,
You finish your night feeling obscene.
    Hopelessly hooked on
what can no longer be redeemed.

You fell in love with my naked body
And I fell in love with your naked soul.

    Maybe you felt something,
    Or maybe you didn’t.
    Maybe you wanted more,
    But you were scared.
    Maybe you were overthinking,
Her words stuck in your head.
    Maybe you like the risk,
Just enough to keep her there.
    Maybe its real,
Perhaps for a while until it ends.
    Maybe it will get easier,
A false reason to make mends.
    Maybe you miss her,
Memories of her body in your bed.
    Maybe with time,
You and her will meet again,
And if not, maybe she will think of
you looking at the pictures of back then.

    I am a Queen
    in a goose feather dress,
Winning in this game of chess.
    This joke of a tower
    Like your lies I devour,
    And slaying with my horse
I cut you off your source.
    Don’t dare fool me,
    Trying to live a fantasy.
Because I rule without a King,
    I am a lady
    who doesn’t need your ring.
    Quick I attack,
That not even your pawns look back.
Your a duffer with no cure
    But my victory remains secure.
    My last piece
    Is the ultimate release.
Check mate on this love !
    Because you had the chance.
    So, accept your loss
And let me shine with brilliance.

    Fate will keep them together
    A chain between their hands
    Consumed between hearts
    Spoken through silence
Breaking the cold of their eyes.
    And watching their shadows
    Disappearing in mid air,
    Freedom and love intertwine.
    The desire of the flesh,
    Kisses deep into their souls.
    And without letting go,
    Whispers of the future
Fill in through the broken doors.
    Craving what was lost
    Boundaries melt away
    Leaving between their bodies
    The insanity of a dream
    In search of no end.

    Can you sleep at night?
    Do you think about how
    you could’ve made it right?
    Does the sense of regret
    even pass through your head?
    Or is someone else
    already with you in bed?
How can you wake up and feel fine?
Laugh and live, walk in a straight line?
    Act like nothing happened?
    Even though everything darkened?
    Tell me, are you okay?
Does your mind fly or what do you have to say?
    Are your emotions even there?
Or should I just stop asking before I give you a nightmare?

I was meant to know the truth
And the gods conspired to help me.
    They put your weakness
On my hands as they whispered,
“Once you know, you will have to leave”.
Like Pandora’s Box, demons and angels
Mixed between your past and present
Laughed and mocked at my innocence.
So, I asked them, “why me?”
    In which they responded,
“Because your heart is pure, and we feed of it. He is lost, therefore, you are lost.”
And just as I thought they had won,
I remembered the truth of my essence.
With a struck of light in the midst of darkness, I grabbed a lock,
Shutting off the last of their screams.
Now I look up, the veil off my eyes,
Remembering that every lie eventually comes to light.
