There is an article for Rights to Education. Free and compulsory education to one and all. Still education is one of the most profitable business around. A child is born and enrollment begins searching for best private or convent schools, despite many government school. The curriculum of Private and Convent schools are administrated by Government, still we feel government school are not worthy and suitable of giving education to our children.
But, this but is the most surprising part of our Educational system. But when someone clears his/her boards, we look out for government colleges for further studies. Entrance exam, Then comes post graduation or Neet or Aims or IIT all seek admission in government colleges. Fees structure for government college comes in thousands ,whereas fees of private is counted in lakhs. Private tution and academy are the ones that comes in place to give education to students to clear exams. Why can't a student get same education in college to clear entrance or any exams. Why is there no government institution for the same. May be because it is a business. Lakhs of student appear each year and just a hand full get admission, rest pay donation and secure your seat or reappear next year. Why can't they reappear within few months who have passed but could not qualify because of cut-off. The system is tied up with reservation. And so there is no equality in education also. Hardly open category has any seats, and more over the students of open category are in numbers. Where will they go, when they have to compete first with themselves, then with open category students then with quotas.
Then comes the pressure from family and relatives. They come up with their expectations that, I couldn't be a doctor or engineer you have to become. Then they are compared to someone else. Everyone has their own limitation, not everyone are same. It is not that student have failed, it is the system that has failed to give Right to education from the root. Despite students passing there are cutoff that makes them failure and next day we hear "SUICIDE" news all over. Who is alive? The pressure that parents build or the education system or the running bussiness or the quotas. The soul who could have achieved anything other than the forced degree now is just an ash.
There is an incomplete explanation of regret The one who was demolishing yesterday See the servant of fate, is in pursuit of spark today The secret of a bright burning flame is that a zephyr strengthens it to brighten it like a sun Similar if a soul is sacred And have respect and love for others May be you will find some happy moment in life May be you can find a paradise tomorrow.
"Seems like end of rainbow, tired like hell" exasperated priya. "Mom, can we amuse ourselves with some eatables. Please don't be banshee."Komal nodded her head making their way towards nearby hotel fuel station. to refuel the car and themselves.
Exhausted they stepped outside of the car. to be welcomed by an old man and woman. These couple had looks of somewhat in their 50s. "Welcome to Paradise Kingdom. Get yourself a nice refreshing time, we will serve you something to eat in a while" exclaimed the old man.
Priya and Komal were offered beverages to quench the thirst. Priya was dead drowsy. She was aware that they have to travel further miles. To make herself fight the dark night, she thought to take a stroll outside the hotel. As she stepped out of the hotel door. She couldn't believe her eyes.
The street through which they arrived was somewhere in middle of woods. And there was no sign of fuel pump. It was all horribly deserted. But a strange thing she found was that the very place of fuel pump was graves. Terrified. she took a step forward to have a look at the grave.
She was horrifically scared to death. to see the grave of none other than those old couples. Frozen she was screaming without being heard even by her shadow.
At that very moment, she felt the fear for death and dead things. She was crying and yelling in fear. Was not able to decide what she had to do and where she was. All of a sudden she remembered her mom. With all her strength that she could gather. she screamed calling for her mom. She fell on her knees screaming, frightened and crying. See felt someone standing behind her, she exclaimed "mom".
We need change, not candlelight marches. A candlelight vigil is where people gather, light candles, and show their support to remember an important date, to quietly protest, or in remembrance of someone who has passed away.
Instead of adopting this typical mentality and screeching slogans, a small effort on our part by taking matters in our hands may go a long way. It may be successful in saving a girl’s life tomorrow – from becoming a victim of molestation/assault/sexual abuse.
How difficult is it to spread education to the ones around you?
How difficult is it to make people understand the right from wrong?
