Traversing through the journey of life, one has to encounter both good and bad things. To procure what right is, one lets go of the righteousness which we ought to stand for. Another story of a soul, letting go off what's gone but still something stays.
In this modern era of smartphones and dslr, we safely have the moments accounted in the memory of life. But somewhere the moment gets lost. The moment loses its grace. A photograph can never replace the essence of moments.
The life is unpredictable but the actions aren't. We are devoted to the actions, not the consequences as consequences are decided by the actions of many forces. It is the nature's tendency to lead us to the consequences.
Illusions- something which makes you think the way you like. But maybe it is not the truth you need. Illusions are everywhere around us, but the truth is within. The soul is the truth, the body is the mirage for which we seek validation. Mind is the truth, but the fact is the mirage. Wisdom is the truth, knowledge is the illusion. We like the mirage because it seems promising but is hollow enough to sink us in the sea of darkness. But when truth comes, its brightness vanquishes every inch of the darkness. That's the power of the truth.
We all are humans??Really!! Be it a Saturday night where I read about a person who was belittled just because of his sexuality or the Monday morning when I realised even the lady in my neighbourhood has a low mentality about the people who after so much of courage try coming out to their parents about their preferences. They are "Courageous" not these people who never realise that they don't have "H"of humanity. We all are "EQUAL".This sounds beautiful but this isn"t realistic because We are the ones who breaks this equal according to our mentality. If someone who's Lesbian,Gay,bisexual or transgender or the queer our way of thinking takes a 360 degree change. Be it the way we look at them or the way we pass a judgement of how weird they are!! But the reality is they aren't weird but "Humans".They share the same colour of blood,They share the same heart but theirs is still better than ours,They share the same feelings-Love, Pain but they understand it better than us because we spent our whole life in belittling them and showing off how big of a Human we are when we are not even left with an ounce of humanity within us because if we are left with some humanity then these people doesn't have to fight for their Rights -They must be handed over to them from the birth. They don"t have to protest on streets -But they must have been handed a place inside our hearts because They aren't different-The cells in our brain are functioning differently that's why we can't differentiate between what's wrong and what's right!!
"Homophobia","Transphobia" are the words that shouldn't be present in the category of phobia moreover their existence should be considered null. Phobia's general meaning is :
"An extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something".
I am a "Claustrophobic"-This is a kind of a phobia of closed spaces!! But what kind of phobia is this "Homophobia" Scared of homosexuals??Is that even a phobia?? The Answer is "No"This isn't a phobia but - A Mentality that's been rooted from a long time in the brain where just garbage exists. Where the sense to judge the right thing has been buried six feet under a long ago,Where the people who are considered different has to suffer for the whole life. Be it amongst the family who never accepts them or the Crowd who consider themselves as "Humans".Neither they harm us nor they trouble the society in anyway then why?? Scared of what?? From what?? This is nothing but an excuse to make them stay away from so called "Humans".This is nothing but the lack of education.Children must be taught to treat everyone equal. Be it a straight person or a person having different sexual preferences. It's the responsibility of the society to make them feel safe. It's the responsibility of society to give them the same rights as the other person who they considered normal is receiving.Because "Normal"or different are just words because in reality what matters is "Humanity",What matters the most is how we make them feel - Safe or unsafe. Our Actions speak so the actions are meant to be the ones where they don't have to fight for their Rights because "Just like a child deserves the love of his mother without any conditions ,They deserves the equal rights, Respect, love from the society without any conditions".
It takes a lot of courage for them to come out in open revealing about their sexuality. If we can't make them comfortable telling them - "That's not a problem. You are Normal - A human" then we must not make them uncomfortable belittling them. Because the ones who never struggled for a single thing will never understand how difficult it is to ask the society to accept them as "EQUALS".Parents or the friends must make them feel normal because they aren't aliens or someone who came from a different planet but a person who's likes are different than yours - Humans have different choices that's why we all are not same. We are the different pieces of the same cake. A little understanding, A little respect is what they are asking -Give them.Because you are not going to turn poor after giving them these little things they are demanding - A little love too if possible. "I"as a Writer and as a "Human" salute them for their courage to fight against this senseless society who's rules are as sick as them for Equality, Dignity. The society needs to change and I am sure one day I'll witness the change too.
June is the pride month of lgbtq community. So "Happy pride month"to all those people who are humans just like me :))
I stopped expecting you to save me, make me smile, make me feel beautiful, motivate me and give me a sense of purpose in life. I started doing all of that for myself. It was scary. I was so used to leaning upon you. I faltrerd and fell innumerable times. But I was determined. Determined to be strong enough to carry the weight of my life on my own. Because I wasn't born or raised with the promise of having you by my side.
