A Diwali of Hope
"why do you keep up the fairy lights of Diwali up till January?"- he asked her.
" It keeps the demons away." - replied his neighbor with a smile in her face .
Next year his neighbor was not home to put up the fairy lights , for she was laying in a sad white bed fighting a demon named cancer.
And her neighbor that boy, he was lighting up fairy lights as much as he could . With the hope that their brightness will reach her sad hospital room and Chase away all the demons.
He was celebrating a Diwali of Hope
