The Hostel butterflies
Hostel life ,New people,
Everyone is so different.
Yet life had brought them together,
For years intermittent.
For some people their parents called,
Some people only received money.
For some missed their siblings,
For some phoned their honey.
Some studied,Some slept with their phones,
Some chatted all day long,
Yet all of us were confused on,
Where we belong.
We had troubled relationships.
We didn't know who we were,
Yet when tears welled up,
All us of were there.
We were fifteen of us,
Three of us were close.
Yet when fever strikes
All rallied to give the dose.
I was finally happy and free,
I slept on a hard bed and saw no TV,
Since all of us will huddle together,
And share stories for free.
Thank God for the memories,
Those days of budding hope.
We still talk about them,
When life is hard to cope.

With an increased voltage
Like a step up transformer
Stepped into engineering
With all diodes of our brain
In forward bias!!
By the end of the year
Realized there are resistances
Waiting to drop our voltage!!
With not gates between us and classrooms
Entered the second year
We are no longer
The synchronous machines
Our rotor brains now do not follow
Our stator bodies to class
With stored potential in our capacitors
Entered the third year
One day in Braking mode
And next day in motoring mode
If not for MCB
My circuits would be blown by now!!
Thanks to op-amps with amplified voltages
Entered the fourth year
Our auto transformer brains
Supplied required voltages for placements
I'm glad our voltage regulators managed to regulate our unbalanced voltages all these years!!

BTech life
They said we're future engineers
And so we called ourself that
But we're still yet to figure out
what we really want,
Yes! They call us technical students
But we merely do a copy and paste
and loiter around with a error in the practical classes,
They said we would learn coding
Like those you see in the movies
But most of us are pretty much stuck
with the header file #include<stdio.h>.
We're basically a confused humans
Who pull all nighters but bunk classes
the other day.
We are also the biggest procrastinators
But you see,
We often make it to the last hour submitting assignments ,
And one-night prep for the semester exam.
They say we're future engineers
But you'll find gamers and musicians
Artist and writers
Athletes and good cooks.
But you see
They are also students who could do it all,
From mastering programming languages to
Fixing a laptop and creating a robot.
we categorise them as toppers.
But you see,
That's the Btech life.
Where late night assignments and bunked
Classes are considered as achievements.
And where that late night Maggi and
midnight coffee is what counts.
And where the rank in the video games
Seems more worthy than the actual cgpa.
Yes! That's Btech life

वैसे तो मैं सुरती हूं लेकिन मेरा प्यार सुरत नहीं,
विद्यानगर में ही हमारी जान बसती है,
विद्यानगर हमारे दिल में बसता है।
सरदार पटेल के नाम की यह धरती है,
साक्षात मा सरस्वती की यह भूमि है,
विद्यानगर हमारे दिल में बसता है।
चारो तरफ कॉलेज और हॉस्टल ही है
लेकिन फिर भी धरती मा हरी हरी है,
विद्यानगर हमारे दिल में बसता है।
नाश्ता हाउस विद्यानगर की सुबह चाय पोहे से होती हैं,
हम घर आके भी ब्रेडबटर नहीं मम्मी से पोहे ही मांगते हैं,
विद्यानगर हमारे दिल में बसता है।
रोज घर की याद नहीं आती ऐसा बिल्कुल नहीं है,
पर विद्यानगर की हर शाम हमें यहां रोके रखती है,
विद्यानगर हमारे दिल में बसता है।
यह शहर भी आईआईटी वाले कोटा से कम नहीं,
यहां का हरेक बंदा इंजीनियर के सिवा कोई और नहीं,
विद्यानगर हमारे दिल में बसता है।
हॉस्टल के कमिने दोस्तो तो सच में कमिने ही है
लेकिन फिरभी यहां आके अपने से लगते है,
विद्यानगर हमारे दिल में बसता है।
देर रातको ऐसे ही चाय या सोड़ा पीने निकल लेते है,
और शास्त्री मैदानमें जाके बस बैठते है,
विद्यानगर हमारे दिल में बसता है।
आपके लिए मायानगरी मुंबई होगी लेकिन,
विद्यानगर की माया तो मुंबई से भी अधिक है,
विद्यानगर हमारे दिल में बसता है।
कुछ साल बाद हम इंजिनियर बनके यहां से चले जाएंगे,
लेकिन ये साला विद्यानगर हम में से नहीं जाने वाला,
विद्यानगर हमारे दिल में बसता है।
सोचा है हर महीने यहां आते रहेंगे,
हर महीने हमारे दूसरे घर आते रहेंगे,
विद्यानगर हमारे दिल में बसता है।
