  गोपबंधु होस्टल
  
  शुरुआत कहाँ से करूँ,पहले अनजाने थे लोग जो
  एक छोटे से कमरे में, अब उनसे पूरा परिवार हो गया है ।।
  
  मेस की कतारों में लगकर, दीवार की हर एक टाइल गिनना
  खाना बकवास बना है, ये कहते हुए साल चार हो गया है।।
  
  माँ से ज़्यादा तो रूममेट ने खाना पकाना है सिखाया
  रूम रूम में नॉन-वेज, हर मंगलवार हो गया है।।
  
  कल्चरल और होस्टल नाईट का वो कोलाहल, वो इंतज़ार
  सजना, खाना, सेल्फियां लेना, होस्टल की हर चीज़ से प्यार हो गया है।।
  
  संक्रांति हो, होली हो, दीवाली हो, या हो ईद
  दोस्तों के साथ हर त्यौहार मद-मस्ती में चूर हो गया है।।
  
  गणेश पूजा और सरस्वती पूजा की तो बात ही ना करो
  गोपबंधु सबसे मशहूर हो गया है।।
  
  रात के बारह बजे जन्मदिन का खूब शोर होता यहाँ
  सुबह दस बजे के बाद उठेंगे, ऐसा दस्तूर हो गया है।।
  
  अगले दिन परीक्षा हो या ना हो
  रात भर बैठ कर गप्पे मारना तो हमारा फितूर हो गया है।।
  
  हम GB वाले है, परेड की सबसे बड़ी टोली अपनी होगी
  ये कहते कहते आख़िरी साल हो गया है ।।
  
  नए थे तो लगता था क्यों हर हफ़्ते बैठक है यार
  अब इसको भी याद करूँगी, ऐसा हाल हो गया है।।
  
  आए चाहे फनी या तितलियाँ अनेक
  तेरा मेरा याराना इन सबका काल हो गया है ।।
  
  एक सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता, एक साहित्यकार से शुरू हुआ
  गोपबंधु सिर्फ नाम ही नहीं, हज़ारों की यादों का मलाल हो गया है।।
  
  A-ग्राउंड सिर्फ़ एक फ्लोर नहीं हमारे लिए
  दिल के करीब हमेशा रहेगा, ये आँखों का नूर हो गया है ।।
  
  फर्स्ट ईयर के फ्रेशर्स से फोर्थ ईयर के फेयरवेल तक
  ये केवल सफ़र नहीं, ज़िन्दगी का गुरूर हो गया है ।।
  
  ' यहाँ रहना नहीं ' से ' यहाँ से जाना नहीं ' के बीच
  कारवां ये अब कोहिनूर हो गया है ।।
  
  ख़ता तो बहुत है, वक़्त भी हमसे मगरूर है पर
  अब अपनी बारी है "घर" से जाने की, ये भी मंज़ूर हो गया है ।।

  THE DREAM
  
  I will kiss you a little harder today,
  My eyes will be closed
  In apparent bliss.
  My fingers will be interlinked with yours,
  As if they're meant to be fit together.
  And I will hug you a little tighter today
  Not because I'm your girlfriend,
  Not because I'm your bestfriend,
  But I had a dream last night.
  We were sitting in a restaurant
  Holding hands,
  Looking into eyes,
  Laughing and eating our midnight meal.
  In that serene environment
  I could smell your aroma.
  Your perfume was different than usual
  It was somewhat more manly,
  Something strong like vanilla and lavender.
  The moment was perfectly toxic.
  And then I woke up..
  And you weren't there
  Nowhere closer to me..
  I felt all alone for a sec.
  I don't want to feel that emptiness ever.
  Anything as glamorous as us will not happen twice,
  And this is for sure.
  So I will kiss you a little harder today
  I will hug you a little tighter today.

  To feel your warmth
  To make sure your are there with me
  Right there in the moment..

  समझता रहा ज़माना ठहरा पानी जिसे

  वाकिफ़ नहीं शायद तुम इस बात से

  आँखों में सपने, चेहरे पर चमक
  होंठों की हँसी वाली तन्हाई हूँ मैं ।।
  
  रंग तेरे गालों का सिंदूरी हो जाए

  The Solitary girl
  
  And when she is alone
  She holds her phone
  Sitting in the solitaire
  Looking at the night sky
  Feeling the cold breeze
  With the passing winds
  Her tears drip down from her specky eyes
  She cries on her own
  For the feeling of guilt..
  Guilt or anger or loss or pain
  She can't decide what rips her
  She just sits in silence
  Thinking where things went wrong
  What she could have done
  What she shouldn't have done
  Watching over the lonely sky
  She's sad and angry
  She doesn't like herself anymore
  She fears connection from people
  She's afraid to share her feelings
  She always looses friends
  She is left with no one to comfort her
  She is all alone there
  Under the sky..
  Feeling the chillness of the wind
  She thinks and thinks her life again
  She tries but fails everytime
  She can't pretend for others
  She is who she is
  And can't pretend to be someone else
  These thoughts gives her goosebumps
  But she is not tired
  She's waiting for the clouds to go
  She's searching for moonlight in dark night.
