She Walks Along The Shore
She walked along the shore. The girl with the flowing brown hair. The ocean stretched with its limb-like waves. Hoping to get a taste of her subconscious. She teased the waves by giving it a small taste of the thoughts she doesn't dare think.
She steps into the waves, feeling as though she had forgotten something as the ocean sucked up greedily at her demons. She stepped back again and smiled as the waves retracted, disappointed that it had lost its dinner.
But try again it did as another wave rolled close to her feet and she smiled at its determination. She rewarded it by stepping back into the wave, feeling such satisfaction as the wave tickled her feet. It pulled her farther down the shore and another wave consumed her greedily.
It was too late to step back out as a third wave washed over her thighs. She felt a mist drift over her mind as the waves once again crash against her legs, feasting on its dinner. Another wave rolls over her and she feels the mist turn to fog.
The fog drew out her thoughts and tears fell down her cheeks for she thought, what real person could be capable of these cruel, dark thoughts. The demons inside swam down her cheeks as well, making her aware of their existence as they splashed into the waves.
The tears burn her eyes and blur her vision but she hazily sees a dog run into the water before her. The heavenly creature looks deep into her eyes, seeing the demons inside of her seeping out into the sea.
It howls loudly, lifting the fog and forcing the demons back into the unknown parts of her mind. She wipes the tears and pats the dog on its head. She retraced her steps to that place of anger, cold and fear. Where the people scorn and jeer. Where the demons inside her head get stronger every day.
