Pristine
I admire absolute black and absolute white,
not because they look ancient,
but because, as such, these hues
are pure, unadulterated versions of themselves.
A smidgen darker than white
or a smidgen lighter than black,
encroaching into the territory of the grey scale makes me uncomfortable ...because now,
no matter how much PURE WHITE
or PURE BLACK I mix, I know that
there's no going back to the raw and
PRISTINE beauty that originally existed...

You were jealous because I had the chance to touch you in my dreams.
I was one breath away and you had no card to turn the tables.
Weren't you afraid I will leave you after getting what I want
The rule was one touch blows magic out
Before the truth comes insight
After all you despise them all
Afar you were a bolt shiny but noxal
You thought I was goofy to see and wimpy to guard you
But little did you know
I knew what I see was only a scared boy with lantern in his shaking hands
I was only trying to be his little girl

Your memory
your cologne still lingers
like a ghost huddled in the corner
your memory still haunts me
every time I walk past it
all that remains
are the poems I wrote for you
that you never even read
you never bothered to
because you simply didn't care
I drink from this cup
The only thing I have left of you
I remember when your lips pressed against it
the way they once pressed against mine
you used to love the way I tasted
of vanilla Coke and stale cigarettes
but I watched as your expression changed
my taste grew sour
and with every kiss on the lips
your expression morphed into disgust
I could tell it burned like acid
Everytime our tongues danced together
so the dances grew fewer and fewer
until we never danced again. -

Never did I ever think
I'll be finding you
In a place
I least expected
Myself to be in.
And yet...
I did.
In finding you
I found myself again.
My heart trusted you
Long before my head agreed.
But it was my soul that said
You are me and I am you.
Mirror images,
Twin flames
Call us whatever.
We were meant
To find each other,
Heal each other,
Be the light together
For our combined darkness.
Like yin and yang,

Light and dark,
Fire and Ice,

I am angry. I am disappointed. I am upset. Yet I know I cannot do much. I can only rant. Rant about what is happening around. Yet I cannot change anything. Nothing will change.
When I see the youth of this country bleeding for voicing their opinions, I see a dark tunnel ahead.
I see people lauding police forces. Remember it could be you too. It is just convenient for you to support them. It could have been your son or daughter too. But it is not the case. So, you support police brutality.
I see people blaming students for voicing their opinions. Just because you have turned deaf, dumb and blind the world cannot ignore what isn’t right. Forget about right or wrong, democracy means a place where you have the right to dissent. But how will you understand when you can't see.
“The students started it first!” you would say and walk away from the conversation. I don’t see any logic behind your pointless arguments too. But I will not walk away. I will stay till the end to know whether you are still open to disagreements. And I know you are not.
I see people labelling universities based on religion. I see people labelling a religion as “extremists”, “terrorists”, “anti-nationals” and what not. Since when did India become a “Hindu” country? -

Letters to Bomba
Night was our childhood, me and you , us and our future daughter. It was your soulmate, were the days I spent crying on the streets. It was my sky and your light. Our happiest black and saddest song. You were shooting the stars and scattering darkness, there was I giving my soul and body, taking all the sins just for gathering the pieces of the future. I failed. Sky is falling down and I am hung in the air with my lost atlas and broken night and I feel the deepest scar a woman ever can feel. I regret every moment I breathe while still knowing future holds neither night nor atlas.

It was yesterday, when...
You took my breath away,
With your cute huggy outfits,
I wasn't expecting you...
Though, I had many thoughts of you,
Don't know how you did it,
But you just made my day,
Now, without you,
I won't really survive... Don't dare!
I will love you till the end of time,
Be rude in a romantic way,
My pretty partner in the poetry world
In whom my giggles find joy,
Don't hide those lips from me,
I have earned it with honesty,
Don't hide those flashy hips from me,
I have earned it all with love,
Who said, I would kiss you one time'
Never, I shall kiss you timely...
Till the clock in the whole world dies!
Baby, you're such a sweet pumpkin,
So let's show the world'

The black and white I see in everything feels so cliche, with no one to blame.
And all the good things in life have been burned before my eyes.
Through all of the blackened smoke, I saw the angels flying away.
Ever since then, the wicked entities have spoken for me.
But I can't tame the chattering devils that use my voice.
So I think I'll seal my mouth with a promising stich.

How I Wish
How I wish, a paint brush could color me blue.
A deep, dark blue or pale aquamarine.
The sands would be a shade of white or a shiny golden hue.
Some broad strokes and light touches could paint
A flock of flying starlings against a fiery orange sun.
And a pop of color on my tattered umbrella.
If only, the paint hadn't dried,
And the hand that held the brush, not withered and died.

कुछ धुंधली मुरझाईं यादों को।।
ताज़ा करती वो तस्वीरें।
मूक..पर हर शब्द को कहती ।।
और बतलाती वो तस्वीरें।
यादों से भुला दिया था जिसको।।
पलछिन उसकी याद दिलाती वो तस्वीरें।
दिनभर की चहल कदमी से ओझल हुए थे जीवन के जो पल।।
उन लम्हों में जान भर्ती वो तस्वीरें।
कुछ काली, कुछ रंगीन।।
कुछ खुशी की, कुछ गमगीन।
हर लम्हे को कैद किए अपने दिल में।।
हम को हमी से जोड़ती वो तस्वीरें।
बंद किया था, तेहखानो में जिनको।।
रह रह कर आवाज़ लगती वो तस्वीरें।
सब कुछ भुला कर, आगे बढ रहे थे हम।।
फिर से बुला, उसी जगह अटकाती वो तस्वीरें।
पास बुलाती वो तस्वीरें, याद दिलाती वो तस्वीरें।
उठाया भी उन्हें, गले से लगाया भी।।
तंग आए तो, आग में जलाया भी।
पर कैसे जलाएं उन यादों को मन्न से।
जो छपी हो दिल पे, बनके तस्वीरें।
फिर से पास बुलाती वो तस्वीरें।
याद दिलाती वो तसवीर।
