Half fried masala omlete
And buttered toast.

As a coder it was odd for me to fall for coffee
You take my hand in yours
Telling me all the qualities of people that I acquired in my life.
The people I loved and lost.
How I have my tea with cinnamon
And how oolang calms me
How hot chocolate with cocoa eases my pain
And how sukha puri makes my day.
You search for your qualities in me.
Sigh.
I don't have any.
Maybe because I knew we didn't need one
That we were enough.
Sunday mornings were dominated by lavender scent and Indian classical in the background
You start reading your Kindle

As a young girl I believed in parallel universe
And the thought often struck me about the whereabouts of parallel me. It was intriguing to believe that another version of you exists and shares a life on a place that might be a mere possiblity or something that may not even exist. I always About the similarities and differences between the parallels. But what I didn't know is something like parallel between two homo sapiens can exist irrespective of their age and regional differences.
My first encounter with this was at a lunch in a Chinese restaurant. Even though I don't meet new people over lunch I decided to give this one a try. Since I was fascinated by northern nights he strikes that topic and narrates to me his encounter with it. As a matter of surprise I too had found it in the exact same manner, in the exact same class and in the same book. We shared the same school but we had our differences. We didn't know eachother like how we know now. He tells me that he adores sunsets and I tell him that I find them magical. We narrate a few tales over the sunset and we notice a parallel. Too many of them. From love and crushes to heartbreak. We're there. Sitting next to eachother. Sipping tea. Falling in love. It's as if the entire universe was waiting for this meet. Sorry! A date.
It's weird how people are and how universe works. There is walking and live homosapien who has literally experienced most crucial part of your life by being in your shoe. They understand your view before you have to explain. It's weird. It seems like you had known me
And experienced my life even before I was acknowledged about your existence.
