What your leaving taught me.
After you left I was no more a child, I became a woman.
Ma, after you became a picture on the wall with fresh flower, I became a shadow, a memory too.
After you left, your old door stayed closed to me and not even you could open it, but
after you left- your footprints walked mine and I begin to understand, Ma,
that life is more than these. There's love and hate and war and peace, and I will stay within the path you left me to leave when I too leave, I will walk my own children thru' doors and windows to
let them stay children forever in love, no matter the war that shadows times of peace.
