Green escape
Locked away in our repetitive mundanities,
We yearned for a humble escape!
Exhausted of hustling through busy cities,
It was time to take a break.
We heard a faint whisper
Calling out to us from the green.
We heard the burbling river,
Refreshing, pristine, serene.
And off we rode our iron steed,
To answer our calling.
And in the babbling brook we meet
The soul that we had lost!

A familiar echo is striving
Wavering within
Where they reigned long ago
Young and yearning to escape
I hardly hear them at sunrise
Or the motionless days
Where past tragedies surface
And drag me back under
Within, a daydream is stirring
And scrambling away
From a lone ray of light
From the rhythms of my stride

Someone told me "There should be something like an alarm ring before you meet someone who's not meant for you and just gonna use you for their own benefit."
Doesn't your instinct tell you something when you keep texting/calling that person? Don't you find something different when you anticipate a response on your text or hear their voice? Don't you find something new and get on with it to explore a little?

was meant to be like Moses,

excells in at least one gifting
or talent
and that
gives him a life's purpose.
Moses was chosen to be a leader,
yet Bezalel and Aholiab
were chosen
to be the main craftsmen
for building God's tabarnacle.
David was a king, prophet and worshipper,
yet he needed guidance
from Nathan
and support
from the sons of Korach.
Peter was held in the highest regard,
yet it was Marc
who wrote the first gospel,
which is very remarkable.
Stephen was not one of the twelve,
but was used
to set an example
of great faith
as he became a witness
of Heaven's gate.
Paul was one of the greatest,
but always had help from others
like Luke, Timothy or Titus,
to help with his works
under the gentiles.
So never underestimate yourself.
Rather accept your gift or talent
and use it to the utmost.
Ask the Lord for your purpose in life.
Let Him give you the wisdom and insight
to accept your unique calling
and find peace to walk the journey
of your personal ministry
and become part
- either big or less -
of the Kingdom's history.

A Vessel Dashed Upon the Ground
Flying off in the cover of night,
A parting cloud of buzzards
Calls out enraged
At my screaming ascent
Time stalls and sputters
To the cold dead ground
Banished from who I am
With who I’ve striven to be
They fall, stunned and ashen
Wrecked and snarled
To the ruins of a home
Left soldering and jagged

a lot to feel
nothing to lose a lot to win
amidst the daily cacophony
of mundane shouts
there's a voice felt deeply
the omnipresence of a solo song
playing at the background vaguely
is what the roaming souls believe in
with a wild sense of destiny

My soul is broken, and the damage is done
