Looking in hindsight,
the world looks jumbled,
as I glance over my shoulder
the shadows loom,
aware not that
I am the light they
so desperately seek.

Stacked up here
Is entry to world
Of magic and tragedy
Thrill and romance
Horror and suspense
A few pictures
Of that toothless grin
Or the very first play
Looking at the
Times spent with your loved ones
Walking down the memory lane
Here lies my wild collection
Of happy meals
Be it Disney pokemon hotwheels
In a corner somewhere reside
A few honor and medals
Those moment of pride
I wonder how I'd thrive
Without my
My shelf life

Solitude
When alone is in lap of nature, on the shore, calm with music of chirping birds.

Evolving sure takes it's toll on the soul.

#dailyprompt #evolving #poetry #poetrycorner #truth #poetrybyme #writersnetwork #KharmaScribbles.: Evolving :.
When we were Two..
The world seemed so small and confusing.
When we were Twelve..
Understanding ourselves a challenge which we have found.
Then we were Twenty..
We think we know everything about plenty.
Now that we're Thirty,
Time that passed has done us dirty,
Still trying to figure out which tasks are unworthy.
Evolving, Never Done,
Not much by the age of 30 -
All the learning is done by repeating.
Then we are done.
Can we say it was fun?

Bliss
The mole finds peace in burrowing
While ignorant of the clouds
And fish of deep to darkness keep
Yet ignorant of the sun
Still ignorance does not protect
The ignorant stayed self
The sun and clouds still rain each down
Effecting everyone

Sun
Luminous, blinding
Burning, changing, holding
Giver of light, Keeper of tides
Circling, watching, pulling
Cold, hidden

Falling For You
Meet me in the rain where the clouds reach down
**
To wrap you in their light and flowy sheets
**
To wash the gathered dust from off your feet
**
And kiss your cheeks with liquid chandeliers

She deleted her pictures.
her numbers,
making the chats erstwhile,
yet what did not go away were
the reminiscence of a
curious cup of a coffee roaster.

Desperate
Lost
Almost blind
Just in time
You I find

Sweetest love
You are a wondrous mist
Waking me in the early morn
Kissing my softness
Caressing my curves
With your gentle touch

Easy does it
Busy does it
Who would think that,
Little does it
Precious Lilith
Limits scared it
Who would think that,
Smart work does it

SOLID ILLUSIONS
Grabbing on to illusions,
Slowly fading shadows,
A mirage appearing and fading as I draw near.
Grasping thin air,
Struggling to store up air in a jar,
Oh what a futile attempt.
Then I met you, my constant,
Then I felt the sinking sand underneath my feet washing away to reveal solid ground.
Finally I can stand.
Finally my shadows have taken a shape,
And that shape is YOU.
My constant one. My lover.

More
Tick tock time goes.
Calendars filled, targets set.
Oh for more time we seek.
Tick tock time goes.
Memories found, memories lost.
Oh for more time we seek.
Tick tock time goes.
Dreams pursued, dreams deferred.
Oh for more time we seek.
Tick tock time goes.
As fast as a gazelle we run from this predator called time.
Yet like a determined Cheetah it catches up.
Alas, we realise we cannot run away from or ahead of time but instead run alongside it.
Alas, we realise now is all we have and now is all we must use.

Endless emerald seas - calling to me,
In your eyes I drown,
Oh I say I’ll never go back again,
But here I am,
Begging you to take me in,
I’d drown just to swim again.

I built a wall,
And hid behind it,
Against all of,
Humanity.
I thought that here,
I was safe and sound,
And I could escape,
Reality.
But all I did,
Was trap myself,
See all that I hid from,
Was a part of me.
So there I was,
Caged for life,
A prisoner of all,
That I tried to escape.

Rainbow
...Watch those who are fragmented
Refract the light into a rainbow...

therebelkween 158w
It takes the sunshine and rain to birth a rainbow
Will my life be a burst of colours
After I've known the scorching heat of your meanness
And the outpouring of the rain of your demeaning words
Will my black eye see the seven colours of hope and a new beginning
Or have I drowned too deep into dark waters
Never to count myself worthy of a rainbow experience

INTOXICATED
For safety reasons, men should know their limits and not speak loosely when they're intoxicated -
Make promises they could never keep 'cause their bellies have been pumped full with beer, and their members pumped full with blood.
But men, they never learn now, do they?
