The festival is celebrated in honour of Ibrahim Abraham who was ready to sacrifice his son Ismael on command of Allah or the God. On this day, people across India offer prayers and celebrate the festival of Qurbani by exchanging exquisite cloths and gifts by enjoying a feast together.
Muslims across the world observe the auspicious and meaningful festival of Eid ul-Adha on the tenth day of the last and the twelfth month (Dhu al-Hijjah) of the Islamic calendar.

Allah ki raza pe sada sar jhukaiye
Aisa karam hai pyare nabi ibrahim par
Paya hai ye sharaf ki banaya khuda ka ghar
Ek naik aur pyari si zaujah(wife) thi Hajra
Ek beta ismail khuda ne ata kia
Biwi ko aur bete ko chodha jaha pe tha
Makke me rab ne us jagah zamzam kia ata
Allah ki raza ko suna ismail ne
Nazrana jaan ka pesh kia ismail ne
Unki wafa ke noor se dil jagmagaiye
Allah ki raza pe sada sar jhukaiye...
Quran me h pyare nabi ibrahim se
Kehta tha koi khwab me qurbani kijiy
Bedaar neend se ye hua tha khwab unko yaad
Qurban 200 oont(camel) kiy the sahar k baad
Fir dusri aur teesri shab me b ye hua
Qurbani ke liy unhe kehta koi raha
Har bar 200 oont ki qurbani pesh ki
Socha tha aapne ki rab ki raza yehi
Raah-e-khuda me shauk se sab kuch lutaiye
Allah ki raza pe sada sar jhukaiye
Fir chauthi shab me dekha magar aisa khwab tha
Wo jisme ismail ki qurbani ko kaha
Sachcha hai khwab aapne is par yakeen kiya
Ye khwab apni zauja ko jakar suna dia
Batla ke khwab zauja se jab mashwara liya
Boli wo kaam kar do jo allah ne kaha
Rab ki raza pe apne chodha inhe yahi
Apno se muh mod ke bhi muskuraiye
Allah ki raza pe sada sar jhukaiye
Ki biwi hajra se ye shaitan ne kaha
Beta kaha gaya hai nahi apko pata
Phir saari baat sun ke wo boli ki marhaba
Allah ki raza hai to beta kiya fida
Phir bola ibrahim se ye ismail ne
Jo hukum apko dia rab e jaleel ne
Ae mere baba jaan amal us pe kijiye
Marzi khuda ki hai meri qurbani dijiye
Qurbani ke liy mujhe jaldi letaiye
Allah ki raza pe sada sar jhukaiye
Bete ka chehra dekh ke mushkil na ho kabhi
Aankho pe ibrahim ne yun patti baandh li
Phir apne pyare bete ki qurbani pesh ki
Dumba le aye khuld se jibril us ghadi
Beta hata ke dumba waha par leta diya
Qurbani ko qubool khuda ne magar kiya
Is imtehan me hue dono hi kamyab
Qurbani ibrahim ki layi hai inqilab
Sachchaiyo ke noor ko dil me basaiye
Allah ki raza pe sada sar jhukaiye
