Country
The sunlight flashed through the tall trees,
A burning orange behind closed lids.
The blackbirds played between the chimney stacks,
Upon the weathered tiles of little brick houses,
Stretching out in rows along pot-holed lanes.
The dry grass in the fields hissed in the breeze,
A honey buzzard perched on a rough wooden fence,
Silver pylons rose below blossoming skies.
Sunshine shimmered on a lonesome river,
Which wandered down muddy country roads,
Dotted with quiet puddles.

Strawberry fields
Some details in life may look insignificant
Like the seeds in a strawberry
But the strawberries in fields
Are just like the seeds on the strawberry of earth
People regularly walk
Down the memory lane
Through the strawberry field
Of their early youth
The paper planes of their childhood
That are flying on the winds
Of my mind and bring back the mood
And the spirit of the early days
And the memories turned stories
They enable me to retreat
From the trivial daily worries
On young children's feet
To the kindred strawberry fields

A little love
She loved rivers more than mountains
And fields more than dark forests
For God was there in the smallest
The green and blue, those magical colours
Beautiful on the leaves than emeralds
And on the sky than sapphires
The girl found the good in everything
And everything good came finding her

Fields of Yellow
One of my favourite houses
Burned down to a crisp.
Half of its structure was no longer painted
White- it was covered in soot.
I cried. I cried for a house I never knew as a home.
A house I never knew at all.
A house that was a home to someone. A home
For generations, it looked like- the siding was Chipped from the wear of years.
This was never my home, but
It was a place I gawked at as I drove by.
In the summer time, the fields surrounding
The house were blooming yellow petals
Of beauty and grace, and they captured
My attention for all the quick glances
I could give as I drove by.
I wish I took that Polaroid
I was meaning to take,
But I didn't and now my chance is gone.
The endless stream of yellow flowers
Brushing against the ocean blue ahead,
Is gone, as it is now Fall.
This house is a reminder
That not everything lasts forever.
Little moments that slip by are gone forever.
That is unless you take a picture.
I wish I took a picture.

Carnivore
Penned in fields
Or imprisoned in cages
Eating all day
Fattened up
Taken to slaughter
Screaming ends
Wrapped up
Taken home
Cooked to serve
On the dining table
Carnivores rejoicing.

To the meadow till dawn
I saw you walking slowly on the green wet meadow
A murrowed forehead and you glanced at me
A long distance was in between us
Yet you walked by and didn't even see me.

Uprooted
Sun-singed farmers
Plow their fields.
It's a bountiful harvest,
But a scheming witch
Descends upon the countryside.
With a whirl of her wand,
Straight crop lines,
Become tangled webs.
Potatoes become dandelions
Property lines are redrawn every night.
Chaos abounds,
To the witch's delight.
Neighbor turns against neighbor,
Blood turns against blood.
The witch cackles.
Soon, she will control the crops.
But her plan is too competent,
And all the farmers slay each other or starve
Leaving her nothing
But a ruler of
a lifeless, sun-illuminated
graveyard.

Farmer
And those fields....
Lushly green grass meadow....
Those green wide yards....
All feels so desolate without Farmers....:)

I'm packing up my heart
Going back to the start
Going back home to me
The way it should be
Keep my heart just to me
With no risk of injury
Walk among the golden fields
Feel the dancing of the breeze
Roam across the riverland
I know like the back of my hand
Sit beneath the temple tree
Sleep under the stars peacefully
I'm packing up my heart
I'm going back to the start... -

" WONDERING! "
I've been dreaming about you
From dusk till dawn
Wondering,
What it's like to be next you
That's All I ever wanted
I hope you want the same
Watching you from a distance
Seemed so picture perfect,
Until you noticed me.
wondering,
Who is this soul?
What does this mean?
Looking at me in a way,
That nobody else did
tell me!,
what's inside your head?
I don't even know the real you
But I'm dying to know
Why are you doing this?
Making me think about you
All night long and every day.
The look on your face
made me wonder
Is this love or just an attraction
Wondering,
How it sounds
When you call my name,
Sitting on the stairs
Watching you pass by,
Noticing everything about you
Your cute curly hair
Your sparkly eyes
Your cheerful laughter
Makes me smile harder
every time!
Saw you walking down the stairs
On an autumn afternoon,
Wondering,
If this is making me fall for you
But then again,
Your smiling at your phone and
I wonder if this smile is for another
person in your mind other than me.
Wondering,
How you ride off to nature
every weekend to the hilly valley,
Laying down on the ground
gently kissing the chilly breeze,
Dreaming about the white clouds
on a clear blue sky,
Never knew you had a sensitive
side towards nature like i do.
Wondering,
If we'll ever glance at each other
ever again,
And we did but this time
My nervousness took the better of me,
Cause when your next to me
you make my heart beat go faster
and slower without my knowledge.
Wondering,
How crazy was i to think
that we could connect effortlessly,
With every countless thoughts
of what could have happened right,
Our magnetic fields had opposite
directions,
We might just getaway with this but
honey this road can't be lead by
our blind faith.

Summer
Do you feel the warm rays?
Of the sun shining down..
Do you feel the emrald jewels?
That are embedded in your crown.
Do you feel the soft grass?
As it glides beneath your feet.
And as you look up into the mountains,
With your kingdom,
Do your eyes meet?

Flying on a Train
Trees fly by,
Rooftops too.
Bright green fields and dull construction sites,
Fields of sheep, herds of cattle, clusters of trees, long wired fences.
They light gray sky sets the mood in the farms I fly past,
The odd telephone wire matches the mood.
Dips of shrubbery and the odd stone brick Bridge.
The odd perfect reflection in a lake, we fly past.
Pylons line the hazy horizon.
Freshly planted trees.
Tiny yet colourful neighbourhoods gracefully pass by.
My KitKat is melting.

Deserted Wilderness
Their parched grounds have become barren
Unable to conceive seeds of wealth
Fallow is their land now sterile
Unable to bring forth trees in health
Upon their desolate sandy fields
The waves of drought begins
Without the thrill of rain nor clouds
All trees are burnt to the ground
The scourging heat intensifies
And nothing escapes it's blitz
Determined to plague their lives till death
Piercing beyond their souls
With no joy nor hope they carry on
Journeying through sand dunes of lies
Praying that as they journey through
Desert beasts wont launch out in flight
Fruitless trees they all become
Who follows after them
Cause empty are their greedy souls
Sold out to a life of fraud
A perfect prey to the prowling beast
Who has him on their trail
For a perfect meal they sure would be
As they wander in the midst
Lusting after every image of wealth
Without caution nor restrain
Shamelessly scrambling for every dime
In a world as blessed as this
They find themselves confined to death
As they reason out too late
That this very land they trade and tread
Would only bring them to their dead end
Only if they would look upward and seek
The wisdom from above
Only then would their help come with Joy
And lead them to freedom
Where sweet waters would freely flow
And all the riches unfolds
So in fruitful fields they would freely live
A life of abundance without greed
Never to be in need.

Country
Whispers the wind
Down by the lake where the sun
Casts its intoxicating spell
A hundred birds chirp into chorus
Their mellifluous melodies tinged
With the sweet pea fields and lavender
Bushes, falling into unision beside
Farmer's fields roaming for miles:
The soft bleating of sheep and neighing
Of foals amidst quiet laughter.

Dying
Wilting are the daffodils
The roots have no source to grow
The yellow flower once in bloom
Now wilting in line with the stem
Around the time of spring
The bloom of seeds tends to flourish
We die to pick them
To have them in a vase to brighten the glow
Not as big as a sunflower
But beautifully sewn seeds
Everlasting growth
Spring blues on the window ledge
Blessings from God
Sprouting from the Ground
The earth so dry
Wilting grass because of the heat this summer

Don't be a goat (I am loved)
I am not a kid.
I am a lamb.
I am a sheep
and by my shepherd's staff
I am guided to leap.
I am not a goat with horns.
I don't wear a dirtied dress
where holes of shame are torn.
I am a sheep
At the right hand of Yeshua.
I don't need to walk the fields
by my own power.
I don't need to rebel against the
one supposed to guide me.
I am lead through the hills and valleys
A leaf guided to rest by the magnificent wind.
I am loved.
