I colored my hair
I painted my lips
I primed my brows
And blushed 'em those cheeks.
The tattoo's on my body spoke loud and clear
drowning the silence of my subtle expression
I craved a freedom that I could hardly fathom,
So I played every beat, tried every rhythm
The more I ventured, the more I found
The more I found others, the farther I went
For I was waiting to be found,
On the other side of the mirror
A pony tail
This need to be free was costing me, ME!
