उस पल से उभर ना पाया हूं।
पिंजरा तो खुला रखा कई सालों से,
लेकिन अब भी उड़ ना पाया हूं।।

When the past seemed to manacle me, asphyxiate me with its remembrances so dark, I wished I could fly high.But I feared of growing wings 'coz I was reminded of Icarus. How a great flight led to a great fall! I no longer wished to dwell in this netherworld.... I looked up. The cerulean sky whispered to me, "Break those damn shackles! The sky is yours!" . I developed wings. Not made of wax, but of the desire for a 'captivating freedom'!

Never Knew Me
You thought you knew me.
We took a chance on us willingly.
Agree to disagree.
No longer feel the chemistry.
I'm relieved this is ending.
It's great to be free.
Why stay when it'd be faking.
I'm over love.
The memories I don't care to have.
Tomorrow I will leave.
Don't remember me.

To take her interest
For she desires a home with no riches.
She kicks and throws her food
And like a lost soul looks above
All she could see is
Little birds flying over the skies.
A desire flows inside her
To once again fly over the sapphire skies
And kiss the boundless clouds
She wants to be free
And fly over the horizon
With her friends
Her legs are chained
Her feathers are creased
Her little body is famished
She wants to fly,
Fly above the jet blue sky
She has determination running in her veins
She starts flapping her wings wildly with all her strength
With no hope twinkling in her eyes
She falls down and one last time looks around
The last thing which she could see is
A little bird hovering over the skies.

Khaana, peena, naye chehro ka saamna

Behte waqt ki dhaar me kuch kho jaye to

Is gaadi ka purana sehchar main
Iski Raftaar rukawat meri taqdeer mein
Chale to hum zinda hazaron yaadon mein

Guzra hai waqt kaafi is gaadi me
VCR se Netflix tak cinema dekhe maine
Banjar zameen ke badle nakshe
Nagar ki suraj ko sheher me dhalte dekhe maine
Yeh gaadi ab bhi chal rahi

Like a Bird
Like a Bee
Like a fish in the Sea,
I am free.
My walls are down, the clouds have parted.
I am no longer invisible to the naked eye.
I am seen, I am heard, and I am wanted.
And I desire it, more then ever
That feeling of closeness to them,
Actually wanting it for once, in a long while!

And there she flew in the sky,
No questions she had to answer,
No boundries she had,
No one to stop her.
She was like a free bird,
Released from a cage,
Feeling the breeze of the fresh air,
Breathing the air of freedom.
Talking to birds and making new friends,
Not in the human race and not following the trends,
Flying wherever the sky is taking her,
No complaints, no sorrows, no regrets,
She was a perfect free bird.
As the night coming to end and the dreams not turning into reality,
Goosebumps all over her body,
She woke up in the same black, suffocated, dusty, conjustated cage.
Not being able to fly, move, dream, speak.
She woke up in the morning and her dream sadly broke.
No flying in the sky and no making new friends,

सपने बहोत बड़े - बड़े है दीप के
जमीन से उठना चाहती है
ऊपर आसमान तक उड़ना चाहती है
सारे आसमान को, अपने पंखों से नाप लेना चाहती है
हवाओं को पीछे छोड़कर,
घटाओ में खो जाना चाहती है
बनकर बूंदे बारिश की, बरसना चाहती है
बंजर पड़ी जमीन को भिगोना चाहती है
सुलगती तेज दोपहर को, बरगद की छांव बनना चाहती है
ठिठुरती सर्द भरी रातों में अग्नि की तपिश बनना चाहती है
हां! दीप जमीन से उठ आसमान तक उड़ना चाहती है।।
