The forgotten Firewood
In the eerie silence of a frosty winter's night,
Radiating warmth and radiating light,
Burns without complains, the broken Firewood.
Burns in silence just like it should.
The burning Firewood rekindles hope,
Rekindles love and helps "Them" cope.
"Them!" All "Those" who light the fire,
Hurt by the ones that "They" admire.
But burns in silence, the broken Firewood.
Burns without complains just like it should.
And once a frozen heart is thawed,
To the efforts of the Firewood "They" never applaud.
Thus many more come and take "Their" turn
To heal as "They" watch the Firewood burn.
And once "They" are done, "They" turn around.
Never bothered by the Firewood's faint crackling sound.
So burns in silence, the forgotten Firewood,
Till he turns to ash just like he should.
