She loved rain alot ♥
But she forgot she stayed
In a house made of paper

Staircase
This was once a happy house!
Its mornings special with toast and butter.
Its days made merry with frolic and chatter.
Warm with the laughter of its inhabitants.
Bustling with the activity of its occupants.
Oh yes! It was once a happy house!
Its garden used to be neat and tidy.
Its rooms kept prim and ready.
It had the sheen of being someone's home.
With its windows airy and corridors to roam.
It indeed was once a happy house!
But it's an empty nest now, drying and rotting
Its a macabre place now everywhere pests trotting.
Now there is nothing left here but dust and wallow.
Its memories lost and its 'staircase' hollow.

Caterpillar
With trembling body, I crawled on the leaf
Tell you, I was in terrible grief.
With so many limbs and briery hair,
made everyone give me a horrible scare.
I felt ugly, I felt sad,
loneliness around me I felt bad.
Out of misery, I built a house of silk;
I hid myself in its own ilk.
I prayed inside the cocoon,
dreaming that I could wander soon,
I slept for a while
and then I woke up to smile;
realizing that I had already turned into a lovely butterfly!

hacked down walls, switched out
pieces of furniture,
replaced carpets and kitchen tiles-
25 years flash forward to reveal
the crust that cakes the signs
of rapidly passing time
inside this old and crowded box.
The wallpaper remains the same.
I have lived within their patterns all my life.
Once a place where vibrancy
was celebrated, where cakes were cut
and pumpkins carved,
paintings made and poetry written,
where the children grew to ambitious heights
marked up on wooden planks, now gone-
this wallpaper feels musty and stale;
the energy of life has been stolen from it.
Am I not that little girl anymore
growing to more ambitious heights?
Neither my body nor the outside world
will stop changing so suddenly-
my identities, being pulling apart like taffy,
I feel as aged as the dust on my shelves,
forgotten and abandoned by time itself!-
that monster, has no mercy,
and will rip our childhoods
right out from under us
before we've even had a chance
to experience the best parts of them.
Something like an adult, I walk within
my tired house and feel
the old walls propping back up.
I see their ghosts in all this open space,
and visions of my younger selves
playing hide and seek in the thin air.
This house, this body, this mind-
all are moving forward, growing up;
meanwhile I am still those little girls inside,
not ready to leave and hardly aware
of the passage of any years at all.
Am I the haunted one, or is it this house?"

The trees are higher,

The buildings seems newly painted,
The festive weather is the same.
The radio stations in the cab play new songs,
The roads are the same.
Coming home after a long time
Everything looks different,
Yet nothing's changed.

Our House
Our house would have been round
Round doors, round rooms, round bed, round tub.
We would have had a garden, a swing, a fence and a dog.
A spiral staircase, a library, an old stove and I guess it doesn't matter now, does it?
We would have felt safe. -

A divine space,

What hurts the most
What hurts the most is losing my home
It took 30 years to finally find a place
Where I felt "at home" and not alone
I felt safe and secure and happy.
Not sure if I'm where I need to be
I've always felt as if I don't belong
Always felt caged, never free
No place has felt like home
You don't realise what you had
Until its gone
Remembering now, makes me sad
It's not you I miss, it's the home I created with you.
