As I looked up into my reflection,
My eyes reflected piercingly back:
I saw a lot of things I have done,
And a lot of things I never did.
"There is so much more to me than this,"
I told myself then,
And have continued to reminisce.
Now I start my journey all over again;
From the path I took I turn to leave,
Discarding my old eyes to rot in the sink,
My feet carrying me wherever my heart leads--
A smile and a backpack is all that I wear
As the world collapses all around me in a fit of despair.
