And So My Watch Ends
There were things I couldn't bend,
Personalities I couldn't comprehend,
Days with gloominess,
It was an end from start,
I knew we'd part.
It's always worse for the second to know,
Seeing her quiver, my eyes refused to flow.
Some try to be sorry,
Some ask me not to worry,
Some suggest to go out again,
Some try to look out, all in vain.
I've been running my whole life,
Let me sit, maybe I'll strive.
You may think, this is the end,
Maybe I'm starting new trend.
Borrow me your eyes,
Lend me your ears,
Tell me how time flies,
Ask me all my fears.
The vow was sacred,
I intend to keep,
This journal's not meant for hatred,
Only happiness lying in heaps.
Maybe to expect the worst,
Is what you learn from the most you trust.
One is surely ending,
But my watch was never to rest.
