The best day❤️
On 26th January we went to the open jail in jaipur. There we celebrated republic day. And that was the best republic day of my whole life. Generally what we do on 26th January or 15th August. We sit at our home and generally either we waste our time by figiting with our phone or we unfurl our tricolour or we hang it on our cars and the very next we throw our national flag into dustbins and on roads. Also some of us watch the parade or president's speech who is a mouthpiece of the ruling party and the P.M. telling us about how great our india is, our strategy for the future but deep down we all know that nothing is gonna happen. Also when we see parades we see there all men regiment led by a female officer and bike stunts being performed by a female squad. We feel proud on our womens' and our country. But we don't realise that these are the people who belongs to the privilege sections of the society and the reality of our country is horrible and they do suffer alot. At the open jail the children of the inmates' study there in an NGO and the kind of patriotism they have is the purest. Even if their parents are in jail they love the country much more than any of us and the happiness and joy on their face says everything. Later we asked students to take the oath of the preamble and after that i asked the children whether they know what today is and why do we celebrate this day and what is a constitution. Later, they told us everything about it which they know more than any of the literate common people. We interns collected money and distributed biscuits while distributing the biscuits one of my co-intern gave biscuit to one of the child twice accidentally but the child refused immediately and said "Bhaiya! Muje mill gaya". Guys, see the kind of honesty, talent, love for the country they have. We also talked to the inmates and they were very nice in behaviour and they regretted what they did. I believe realisation is the best penance one can have in their life. Even some of the interns' drank tea with the inmates in their house and they welcomed us. We should also introspect ourself that is how one can make oneself and the world better.
So, at last i would humbly request you all. Please! Don't waste your time in watching these parades' and speeches. Go to a jail and celebrate the day with childrens' and inmates. I can assure you that you won't regret going there and you will feel happiest person after returning from the jail.
