That Enchanted Night
I still remember that night
on the moonlit beach.
You were sitting so close,
yet so out of my reach.
You were staring at the starry sky,
with your hair set free.
And all I could do was look at you,
that sight to be remembered for an eternity.
Suddenly you turned to face me,
making me freeze at my spot.
And what followed next was the best thing,
the night to me had brought.
I stared for long into your eyes,
which seemed deeper than the ocean.
The time for me had paused there,
With the rest of the world still in motion.
Your arms wrapped 'round my neck,
So tender and bare.
With my hand on the small of your back,
and fingers running through your hair.
Your lips parted,
the next moment they met mine.
And the kiss that happend,
was much more intoxicating than wine.
That enchanted night, the way you looked at me
and the way you took my name,
it was the night I knew,
I would never ever again be the same.
