To good to be real...
You say I’m cunning,
You say I’m too smart,
You say we’re better off
I thought that after all this,
I thought maybe you cared.
I thought maybe when I needed you,
Just maybe, you’d be there.
You made me laugh,
You made me dream,
You made me enjoy
being a teen.
You made me cry,
You made me weep.
You made me stop looking,
And taught me how to leap
You made me oblivious
To the depth of my love,
You made me sink down so low,
That I couldn’t see the surface above.
I thought your feelings we’re genuine,
I thought I had learnt to read your eyes.
So I followed my heart,
Little realizing it wouldn’t be a decision too wise.
And now that you’re gone,
And I can’t fill the void,
I miss the way you held me close se,
Even the times that you had me toyed.
And when you left me all alone,
I learnt what was actually real,
Now, you feel like something out of a movie or book,
Something that was good to be real.
