She left she left...she left me in lurch
Like the bark in ol' autumn leaves the birch
Eyes were mine , those tears were hers
Suddenly my realm lost all its gay colours
Grim and dark , dusty and pallid ...
Those numbers I dialled were futile and invalid
My tranquil world was in a state of tumult
My eerie silence was something occult
Became a recluse in the search of solace..
Memories went into oblivion , but not that cherubic face
"The ship has sailed" , my broken heart said
Such strange thoughts filled me with dread
Nevertheless I tried to flush her out
No matter what I lost that endless bout....
From gazing at her to gazing at the stars
What went wrong , what was the fault in ours?
7 long years or 2557 days
Time lost it's meaning and I lost "that" lace
Like a unique jigsaw piece conundrum
No one could ever take her place!
