Like the gust of wind,
A sudden shower in the midst of spring,
Catching me unawares,
Catching me breathless.
It was swift,
How we got drunk on something so strong;
Intoxicated, but by each other.
The longing,
The thousands of promises,
Everyday that we would talk about fulfilling.
Except that they all remained unfulfilled.
Remember?
When you told me you would kiss me,
On top of a lovely hill,
As the sun goes down,down
The only thing I can relate to now,
Is the oncoming darkness,
The light dimming,
Giving way to a deafening silence,
And a night that would never end.
How could I ever bear witness to this,
When my love died so young?

I can't quite grasp a hold on my thoughts, it's wavering.
My focus is deviating, I am lost, obscured, nauseating.
It's like I am peaking the world through a crack on a wall, I ain't even here.
It's all groggy, I keep pacing in and out of moments,I am scattered everywhere. -

FREEDOM
I grew up in a free environment
Freedom to pursue any profession
Freedom to choose my life mate
Freedom to open mind's sluice gates
I grew up to stand up for my rights
Not to make the wrong look right
Voice my opinion, speak my mind
spread word "Freedom" through rhymes
I grew up seeing my flag being untied
from the base, unfurled into the skies
symbolising long struggle for freedom
celebrating Independence day with pride
I grew up served freedom on a plate
Freedom got with bloodshed and hate
'Swaraj is my birthright and I shall have it'
Tilak raised, Gandhi pursued till the end
It's now my turn to hand down to my children
A free India, inculcating love for brethens
Ensure map of India doesn't get nibbled
by field mice, in subterranean soil hidden
The onus to keep the flag flying high
rests not on us alone, but to all our sons
and daughters born under the Indian skies
An integrated India is what we all aspire

सब धर्म के फूल खिलते हैं
शेर जैसे जवान और किसान जैसे अन्न दाता
सिर्फ यही मिलते हैं

We make choices
For that choices we make,
Many consequence we have to deal with,
But those are mostly only ours to deal with.
But some choices we make,
Our loved one's too face consequences,
When that happens its bigger mess to handle with.
So make your choices wisely,
Its not only you,
That who gets to live with those choices.

Such a powerful symbol of our society
Sorrow so stunning as art slowly dies
Truth incarcerated in this world of lies
A hint of dissent or maybe just a thought
Dawn of despair, another artist caught
Holy leaders, sacrosanct and divine
Faithful followers like blind leading the blind
The ageing poet and dignity redefined
Faces of bravery speaking their mind...

No matter whatever the fuck I am, I struggled hard to be whoever the fuck I am, to get in here. Of course I ain't no motherfucking role model with shiny ass or some shit, I still didn't get to where I got to be yet. But with each passing moment i am a step closer to my destiny. May be a long way ahead still, one day, you'll be proud of me. Or just hate the fact you ain't me.

by the appraiser; perceptions different
A play of arguments, with appraiser
having the final say, that never
matched with what self asserted
I gave myself an 'A' convinced
had done my best. Appraiser
downgraded to B+ and that
was my biggest disappointment
A let down hadn't in the least expected

I thought it would be better
All the losses of the past
All the upcoming riots
Everything fades away
With one slice of this honed bayonet
But still I chose the gruel path,
With the last grenade in my trembling hand
I accept, I was pretty scared,

The only thing I was lacking
