She ventured through those open houses,
And their tempting treasures,
But Gloria the maid didn't steal,
Even on small measures.
Half of it she would give to her child
Of bread, a loaf she'd have,
Half of which she had,
But would never be hesitant
to give it to a person in a condition bad.
Modesty ran through her veins,
Even if she would be responsible for the drought-ridding rains.
Boasting would never be on her side,
In teammates would she always confide,
These are normal teachings,
Just little things,
Which, from a young age are we learning,
Yet are we forgetting,
Things we consider are not even worth a shun,
But these are the little things that make it happy: the long run...
