Love and Childhood
Let's sing and dance under the shower again.
And be reminded of days when we played in the rain.
Let's look up at the stars with childlike eyes.
And rekindle the memories of fireflies.
when folktales were our our fantasies
Before the emergence of virtual realities.
Then, we trusted with open hearts.
And believed with unwavering faith.
Love was love, although we didn't call it that.
Yes, it was real and we knew it for a fact.
It was a gentle jab in the stomach, a teasing name or some funny pranks.
When we played under the moonlight or swam in pools made from water tanks.
So here I am like a child, immersing my face into a bucket of water.
Blowing air and creating bubbles, and listening to the rhythms.
And I hear in them, the strength of love is its simplicity.
