She's standing on the edge of a cliff,
Overlooking a vast body of water.
An ocean tainted with hues of black.
The scene shifts,
And she's falling, face towards the sky.
The wind harshly beating against her body;
Eyes wide open in confusion,
She opens her mouth to scream,
But no sound is heard.
Too shocked to even react,
Her body slams into the cold dark water,
The breath is momentarily knocked out of her by the sheer force of the collision.
Water begins to seep into her lungs,
She struggles, fighting hard to get to the surface again,
But it's as though weights are holding her down,
Because she keeps sinking deeper and deeper to the bottom,
Exhausted, pushed beyond her limits unable to breathe;
She remains motionless, the sun's rays reflecting off the surface of the water
Is the last image she sees,
Before the scene shifts once more;
And her body jerks upright, gasping desperately as her hand reaches up to clench her chest,
Scanning her surroundings, she breathes a sigh of relief,
And let's her body go limp to try and calm her racing heart.
