THE BEST SMILE.
I love this cold breeze,
The calmness I embrace,
That pink glimmer on my face,
All my stress I erase,
No goals to chase,
All the pain seems to cease,
My souls heading to a sober place.
I've wandered countless galaxies,
Seen angles and fairies,
To my grandkids, I told plenty of stories.
As the arms stretch towards me,
And bright lights is all i see,
I smile once more, my best this time.
And tell the on lookers,
All my secrets are kept safe in lockers,
As I gaze at them,
red faces and streams of tears.
I tell them I have left all my fears,
Sorry for all the sins,
I was a man of desire once,
Who had evenings soaked in gin.
I had all the women,
And done my fair share of treason.
Fought for no reason and
Ofcourse cursed each passing season,
ALAS!! I had planned a grand exit,
Thought funeral dances I would get.
But this is it,
With a smile I bid farewell,
From this world i turn away,
It's my time, GOODBYE I say.
