Season's First Shower ( Part 1)
Came the first shower of season with drops tender,
Kissing the parched earth like a passioanate suitor.
Forgotten are all the grievances of unending wait,
As the soft tears of sky soothes earth disconsolate,
The sky came under siege of the rowdy clouds
Wallowing waywardly as if drugged with steriod.
The wandering tribe formed castles shifting in sky,
Before they chose to liquidate their weight in flurry.
A current of ecstasy is running from tree to tree,
Dancing and swinging in an abandoned revelry.
Going berserk in shower is slender bamboo tree,
Its green plume bowing again and again in spree.
The grasses on slopes, turned lifeless in summer,
Shows green shoots, as it wakes up from slumber
Seed hidden moribund in the bed of hard earth,
Blossoms into a gentle sapling in a fresh birth.
