1. Fading Sorrows
I was standing there, all alone, taking it all in, as the moments of loneliness creeps in, people around me wonder why I don’t just be a part of the crowd, I wonder, too. But there have been no answers in my 22 years of life that why I chose to be alone and unnoticeable. This first-ever trip to the beach had been no different. One can imagine, a trip would have been fun. Indeed, it was. The tides wavering my feet, the sun-kissed selfie, the solo walks, some mandatory group activities and him. A person who started being a friend in my mind. I noticed him, he wouldn’t know. I didn’t feel it necessary for him to notice me either. He was just there, smiling at me, staying behind me, standing in front of me, sometimes beside me, like the gentle breeze soothing your soul. And that felt enough.
